2014 WEST END POETRY FESTIVAL

The 2014 West End Poetry Festival, sponsored by the Town of Carrboro will be held in October 17 and October 18 and feature nationally known poets as well as emerging voices.

Call for Poets

The Carrboro Poets Council, the all-volunteer planning group for the West End Poetry Festival, seeks applications from poets interested in participating in a session at the festival on the afternoon of Saturday, October 18, focused on the theme of poetry and place.

If you're a poet interested in being part of the festival and can be in Carrboro on Saturday, October 18, 2014, please review the CALL FOR POETS and submit your application by Wednesday, April 30, 2014.

Locations and Parking for the Festival

The festival will be held Friday evening at Flyleaf Books, 752 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. (Historic Airport Rd.), Chapel Hill, NC 27514.

Parking is available in front of the store and across Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in the UNC lots after 5 pm.

Saturday the festival will be held at Century Hall in the Century Center, 100 North Greensboro St., Carrboro, NC. 27510. Parking is available in a variety of free municipal lots shown on the map available at Carrboro Downtown Parking

In addition to the lots shown on the map, a new parking deck is located beside the Hampton Inn at 370 East Main St.
